ICHOM and Capadev’s New Accreditation Partnership
ICHOM Accreditation Program announced in ICHOM’s September newsletter
We are pleased to announce that we have formed an expanded partnership with our longstanding allies at CAPADEV LLP, to accelerate the ICHOM Accreditation Program.
This program recognizes providers around the world who are prioritizing patient outcomes through the use of ICHOM Sets. We currently have a number of organizations, in countries across the Middle East and Asia who are ICHOM-Certified for use of one or more Sets. This collaboration with a long-time Partner will accelerate the roll out to a rising number of providers, and define the pathway for review at the Accreditation Program’s higher levels of VBHC achievement. CAPADEV brings additional practical experience in auditing hospitals at the different stages of the VBHC transition across different geographies, building on its implementation and accreditation systems experience.
The ICHOM Accreditation Program aims to build and showcase a global network of “best-inclass” institutions that incorporate and use ICHOM Sets as a backbone of their VBHC strategy and practice. In turn, the ICHOM certification is a hallmark for wider recognition of quality and outcomes by other entities, including regulatory, payer, and global industry rankings.
ICHOM President Jennifer Bright says: “Leading healthcare providers who make the effort to do what’s right for their patient populations deserve to be recognized, and held up as examples to the global community. All stakeholders benefit when care delivery is managed to achieve the outcomes that are important to patients. Our Accreditation Program is a path to uniquely identify institutions that are focused on patient outcomes, and to guide their progress to truly deliver value-based healthcare.”
CAPADEV Senior Partner Fares Saade adds “There are many entities that accredit healthcare organizations largely based on processes followed, or experience measures, but only the ICHOM Accreditation Program recognises that the priority is the patient themselves, their wellbeing, and ultimately their quality of life. We are proud to bring our experience and network to this partnership and look forward to supporting many organizations to reach the highest levels of certification as part of this program”.
